Aleeza Masih (5 yrs) was only 1.5 years old when she survived the brutal terrorist attack on Quetta Church on 17th December 2017,  (click here). The attack on Bethel Memorial Methodist Church during a Nativity service, killed 9 people and would have been worse had it not been for the bravery of volunteer Christian security officers (click here). Disturbing news of blatant racism faced by black and Asian people seeking a way out of Ukraine while the nation is beset with war, have been confirmed by the United Nations (UN). Pinky a regular visitor to our meal programmes shows off the new cloth bags we have been giving away. This week we have stepped up our services at our Meals for the Homeless project in Ilford.  Whereas previously we were providing soap powder for washing clothes and bottles of cooking oil, once a month we have decided to increase this to a weekly provision, after a number of our regular visitors asked for help.  These can be collected by local families as well as the temporarily-housed former homeless. We revisited the families of the two sewage workers who were killed in Sargodha when forced to enter a known poisonous sewage tunnel to save the life of Michael Masih another Christian. Their Muslim bosses sent them in after initially shouting expletives at Michael Masih and berating him when he refused to enter without PPE, due to high toxicity levels. Muhammad Farooq, Muhammad Amjad and Muhammad Rashid sent Nadeem Masih (40 yrs) and Faisal Masih (34yrs) similarly without PPE, to save Michael and correct their earlier error. A 20ft statue of Jesus Christ that was erected in 2004 was pulled down unceremoniously and then smashed to pieces by the Kolam Administration of District Karnataka.  Archbishop of Bangalore, Peter Machado has condemned the act which he says occurred without the local authority going through due process. Our Volunteer Rajeshri Chouhan displaying some of the wonderful gifts. Three formerly used warm coats, a good quality electric sewing machine, fresh new pillow cases, mugs and T-shirts with Bible verses and a variety of Christian books, were gifted to British Asian Christian Association last week.  There were also some additional used clothes and a new plush toy. The donor was an Indian Christian who began life in Goa and initially went to a Catholic church but is now attending a Baptist Church.
