Sentenced to death by hanging under Pakistan&rsquo;s notorious Blasphemy laws, Asia returned to her squalid prison cell to await her fate.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left; margin-left: -14.2pt;\"><strong>In disgust, London band ooberfuse today release <em>FREE<\/em>, a music video crying out for an end to the persecution of non-Muslim religious minorities in Pakistan and around the world. Asia&rsquo;s own words inspired our defiant anthem <\/span><\/span><span style=\"line-height: 1.8em; color: #00b0f0;\"><em style=\"line-height: 1.8em;\">FREE<\/em><span style=\"line-height: 1.8em;\">. We will carry on our campaign until religious minorities around the world enjoy the freedoms people of all faiths and none enjoy here in the UK.&rdquo;<\/span><\/span><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: cambria,serif; font-size: 16px;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: cambria,serif; font-size: 16px;\"><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"line-height: 1.8em; text-align: justify; color: #444444;\">Asia&rsquo;s husband Ashiq said : <\/span><span style=\"line-height: 1.8em; text-align: justify; color: #00b0f0;\">&#8220;This appeal was supposed to be a ray of hope, but the rejection of the appeal has shattered our confidence.&#8221;<\/span><\/div>\n<p><\/span><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: cambria,serif; font-size: 16px;\"><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"line-height: 1.8em;\"><span style=\"color: #444444;\">Abdul Hameed Rana, senior supreme court lawyer and attorney to Asia, said :<\/span><span style=\"color: #00b0f0;\">&#8220;The history of this trial confirms the problems emanating from Pakistan&#8217;s legal system. &nbsp;Extra-judicial confessions,&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><span style=\"line-height: 28.8px; color: #00b0f0;\">incongruence<\/span><span style=\"line-height: 1.8em;\"><span style=\"color: #00b0f0;\">&nbsp;within testimonies &nbsp;from prosecution witnesses, along with procedural glitches from the police, have been ignored. &nbsp;Moreover, there was also a significant amount of duress within the hearing which had in attendance a large number of Islamic clerics.&rdquo;<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Chairman of the BPCA, Wilson Chowdhry, said; <span style=\"color: #00b0f0;\">&#8220;This day is a nail in the coffin of justice system in Pakistan. &nbsp;International scrutiny held no sway, unlike in the case of Meriam Ibrahim in Sudan.
