Due to such views he was accused of apostasy and blasphemy.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0.0001pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: 13.5pt; font-family: verdana,sans-serif;\"><br \/>\nDr.Auj was fighting a legal case against the originator of a widely-circulated text message, that labelled him an apostate. Colleagues alleged his predecessor was to blame. <\/p>\n<p>At the time he opened the case, he told police: <span style=\"color: #0070c0;\">&ldquo;It has endangered my life and on the basis of the propaganda I could be murdered.&rdquo;<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"><br \/>\nMushtaq Gill Advocate said;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0.0001pt;\">\n<p style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0.0001pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: 13.5pt; font-family: verdana,sans-serif;\"><span style=\"color: #0070c0;\">&#8220;I strongly condemn the killing of Dr.Auj and demands the arrest of his killers.&rdquo;<\/span>,<\/p>\n<p>Despite calls for better security to the Authorities Dr.Auj was provided no assistance. &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0.0001pt;\">\n<p style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0.0001pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: 13.5pt; font-family: verdana,sans-serif;\">Blasphemy offence is punishable by death under Penal Law, and accusations of blasphemy have inspired a rising tide of vigilante killings.
