{"id":197,"date":"2019-05-08T18:26:08","date_gmt":"2019-05-08T17:26:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.britishasianchristians.org\/full-previous-archive\/2019\/05\/08\/double-joy-on-easter-sunday\/"},"modified":"2023-04-30T05:25:28","modified_gmt":"2023-04-30T04:25:28","slug":"double-joy-on-easter-sunday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishasianchristians.org\/full-previous-archive\/double-joy-on-easter-sunday\/","title":{"rendered":"Double Joy on Easter Sunday"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The celebration of Easter Sunday was made even more sweeter when a Christian family in Pakistan learnt their school fee debts of their murdered son was wiped out.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p> A donation by VOVTV led by Pastor Teerth Sond in Wolverhampton to the British Pakistani Christian Association ensured the \u00a31200 debt incurred by the<br \/>\n    Masih family following the tragic death of their gifted son, has been fully paid<\/p>\n<p> Nearly two years on from the horrific classroom attack of top Pakistani Christian Student Sharoon Masih by fellow pupils, BPCA representative Mehwish<br \/>\n    Bhatti, went to revisit his family following his tragic death.<\/p>\n<p> Two days before the Easter Sunday Islamic attack in Sri Lanka, Mehwish found the late Sharoon&#8217;s father, Illyassab Masih, 37, preparing for Good Friday<br \/>\n    celebration at his home in Pakistan.<\/p>\n<p> The death of their highly intelligent eldest son hit the family extremely hard. School fees, uniform and equipment costs for their son placed the<br \/>\n    family firmly into debt.<\/p>\n<p> Now his life has now been so ruthlessly cut short and being the eldest son, Sharoon was the families main hope to transform the family&#8217;s fortunes<br \/>\n    for the future.<\/p>\n<p> Just to add insult and rub salt into the grieving family&#8217;s painful wounds, the killer of their obedient son has not yet been brought to justice and<br \/>\n    has been released without charge.<\/p>\n<p> Expressing his gratitude to the British Pakistani Christian Association for their continued financial and emotional help, Mr. Masih said &#8220;The Pakistani<br \/>\n    court failed to do justice with my son. I regret no more as I have given my justice in the hands of my GOD. I believe Sharoon is at a good place&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>    <iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1280\" height=\"842\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ZxkVeDhydRc\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p> The Masih family see the BPCA as a beacon of hope and rejoiced on Easter Sunday further when learning that thanks to BPCA fund raising, their debt<br \/>\n    has now been fully settled.<\/p>\n<p> Now being debt free the family feel more able to praise God for the wonderful memories of their dear son Sharoon.<\/p>\n<p><span><b><span style=\"font-size: 24px;\">British Pakistani Christian Association, continues to provide advocacy and humanitarian aid to Christians in Pakistan and the Pak-Christian diaspora.
