The family of a Christian youth murdered by corrupt Police in Sheikhupura, Punjab may get some rare justice through the highly biased legal system of Pakistan,
\n in which Christians are normally denied a fair trial.<\/p>\n

Police officers have been arrested and charged under section 148, 149 and 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) and are detained at Saddar Police Station,
\n while they await transfer to a jail.<\/p>\n

\n 148.<\/strong> <\/nobr>\n <\/td>\nRioting, armed with deadly weapon:<\/strong>
\n
Whoever is guilty of rioting, being armed with a deadly weapon or with anything which, used as a weapon of offence, is likely to cause
\n death, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to three years, or with fine, or with both.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

\n 149.<\/strong> <\/nobr>\n <\/td>\nEvery member of unlawful assembly guilty of offence committed in prosecution of common object:<\/strong>

If an offence is committed by any member of an unlawful assembly in prosecution of the common object of that assembly, or such as the members
\n of that assembly knew to be likely to be committed in prosecution of that object, every person who, at the time of the committing of that
\n offence, is a member of the same assembly, is guilty of that offence<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n 302.<\/strong> <\/nobr>\n <\/td>\nPunishment of qatl-i-amd (Aggravated Murder):<\/strong>
\n
Whoever commits qatl-e-amd shall, subject to the provisions of this Chapter be:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n
\n (a)<\/nobr>\n <\/td>\npunished with death as qisas (retributive justice);<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\n (b)<\/nobr>\n <\/td>\npunished with death or imprisonment for life as ta’zir ( punishment for offenses at the discretion of the judge (Qadi) or ruler
\n of the state) having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, if the proof in either of the forms specified in
\n Section 304 is not available; or<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\n (c)<\/nobr>\n <\/td>\npunished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to twenty-five years, where according to the injunctions
