{"id":706,"date":"2016-12-09T18:13:17","date_gmt":"2016-12-09T18:13:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.britishasianchristians.org\/full-previous-archive\/2016\/12\/09\/gifts-for-christmas-come-in-all-shapes-and-sizes\/"},"modified":"2023-04-30T05:30:38","modified_gmt":"2023-04-30T04:30:38","slug":"gifts-for-christmas-come-in-all-shapes-and-sizes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishasianchristians.org\/full-previous-archive\/gifts-for-christmas-come-in-all-shapes-and-sizes\/","title":{"rendered":"Gifts for Christmas come in all shapes and sizes!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>BPCA has has sent a cargo load of used clothes, toys and books across to Pakistan to be shared amongst the deprived Christians living within H9 tent community<br \/>\n    in Islamabad. &nbsp;The total load was in excess of 78 kg and we would like thank in particular Gateway Church based in Gants Hill for their sizeable<br \/>\n    donation of toys.<\/p>\n<p>Although we received many donations some were not in a condition to be sent across to Pakistan. &nbsp;Sifting through items that were good enough to<br \/>\n    use wasted a lot of our time that could have been utilised better towards helping suffering Christians in Pakistan.<\/p>\n<p>If you are one of the local churches that are helping us with such donations then please do assist by making sure items provided are of a good enough<br \/>\n    quality to be re-used.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This is now our 7th delivery of used items to Pakistan and the programme is proving to be very popular. &nbsp;Many more communities have asked to help<br \/>\n    them through these distributions. &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Previous gifts were sent to Lahore and Kasur but we have chosen to send gifts to Islamabad Tenet community this time as it will be the location of<br \/>\n    our Christmas outreach programme. &nbsp;We will share a report on the outreach programme later this year.<\/p>\n<p>If you would like to donate good quality reusable items for Pakistan you can do so at our offices at 57 Green Lane, Ilford. &nbsp;We do not currently<br \/>\n    have any other means for collection. &nbsp;It does cost us \u00a31 per kg sent.
