\nBPCA delivers more food to struggling victims of Kasur inundation<\/strong><\/p>\n
BPCA Pakistan operatives, namely Mehwish Bhatti and Naveed Aziz, have made several visits to the victims of the Pakistan Deluge 2015.  These images show one of the food distributions made to help a community struggling to make ends meet after floods washed their crops away, a whole  year’s livelihood, leaving these victims in an extremely difficult situation. Seven mud homes were completely washed away, but thanks to your kind donations we will be able to completely rebuild these homes with solid brick walls and foundations deep enough to withstand the next floods.  We are also now able to feed 37 families for two months;  we will be installing two clean water pumps; and this week we aim to set up a medical camp with a qualified nurse and doctor and copious amounts of medical supplies.  The medical camp team will be treating illnesses, providing vaccinations and undertaking health checks on a community that have never had them before. Our ability to enact this work is only made possible because of your donations so we say a heartfelt “thank you!” for all your support.  <\/p>\n

We are also hoping to deliver free wind-up audio bibles in Urdu that will enable us to give this community a chance to absorb God’s word for themselves. Some locals make the arduous trek to a catholic church in an adjoining village, but others have a very simple faith based on what a local catholic priest occasionally teaches on irregular visits.  We hope that provision of more accessible bibles will develop a spiritually enriched community, we already know their faith is strong, but now believe it will be qualified with knowledge.  We would love to distribute more of these bibles to rural communities so please do continue to support our ongoing work.<\/p>\n
