British Asian Christian Association continues to collect and send unwanted clothes, toys, household goods and other useful items to deprived families in Pakistan.  We are able to collect items from any home in London as long as they are willing to pay the cost of fuel for our driver to travel from Ilford to your home, office or other venue.

We can only collect items that are reusable, clean, operational and of value to the families that we support.  In Pakistan we work with several churches in Lahore to ensure that needy families are aware of how and where to collect items.  Registered families are placed on a cycle to maximize the number of people needing support who have access to the service.

To arrange for a collection or to drop of your gifts to our centre directly, please call 020 8500 1192 or alternatively email admin@britishasianchristians.org.

Shipping of these items to Pakistan cost us £1.50 per kilo it is not exactly cheap but is the most inexpensive way we can deliver these good to the many families we support. If you would like to help us pay for the shipping then please do click this (link)

This is one of the most unsupported aspects of our work but is often one of the most helpful in regards of the number of people reached, the productivity of the items given away and the economic gap that such support fills.   I explain… a large amount of the domestic cost to a family will be kitchen utensils, clothes and household goods for which often little support is given.  Our gifts give solace to an increasing number of families who often have only one or two pairs of clothes which they can wear for many years.

One of the many reasons we really love this work is that it enables us to recycle unwanted goods that have been loved by individuals but are no longer of use to them, but will be cherished by new individuals. In our times of depleting resources and heightened ecological concerns, this allows our group to be involved in the process of preserving our earth.

“I brought you into a fertile land to eat its fruit and rich produce. But you came and defiled my land and made my inheritance detestable.”  Jeremiah 2:7

We are called to be stewards of the earth, which God has gifted to us to sustain life for all his creation.  We all have a responsibility to maintain it for ourselves, for the living things around us and for posterity.

We share more images of our sharing of recent gifts.  We thank the Ilford Salvation Army for the wonderful gifts they shared with us that made the recent delivery bigger than ever.

Bags full of clothes and gifts.

We have many more images but it simply takes too long to upload.

Share.
