Please pray with us for those affected by IS attacks

Security forces are on high alert.

Please join us in prayer for every person affected by the cruel actions of IS in the last 24 hours.

Psalm 121 New King James Version (NKJV)

God the Help of Those Who Seek Him

A Song of Ascents.

121 I will lift up my eyes to the hills—
From whence comes my help?
My help comes from the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth.

He will not allow your foot to be moved;
He who keeps you will not slumber.
Behold, He who keeps Israel
Shall neither slumber nor sleep.

The Lord is your keeper;
The Lord is your shade at your right hand.
The sun shall not strike you by day,
Nor the moon by night.

The Lord shall preserve you from all evil;
He shall preserve your soul.
The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in
From this time forth, and even forevermore.

Heavenly Father it is with heavy hearts that we come before you right
now.  We ask that you would be with every family who has been torn apart
by the recent attacks on innocent civilians by IS in France, Syria, Tunisia and Kuwait.
Father we ask that you would comfort all those who have lost family
members, friends and all those who are now mourning as a result of this
horrific violence.  Let Your light shine in the midst of this darkness
and may those who are hurting find You and feel Your presence despite
the circumstances and against all odds.

Please be with every
wounded person and grant them healing and a swift recovery.  Let those
who witnessed the atrocities be delivered from the trauma and be healed
quickly.  We ask that Your saving and healing power would be evident in their lives and that this assault from the devil would be rendered a failure. Please make everything that the devil meant for evil be turned
around supernaturally for good, as only You can do Lord.

We could easily become
despondent, fearful or bitter so we ask Lord that You will grant peace
and hope to us in these times where it seems that evil is reigning.  We thank You that You are sovereign Lord and Your love for us is deep and unfailing.  Thank You that Your heart towards us is always good and you have no evil in You.  Give us a fresh revelation of that love and help us to share it with those who do not know you.

Lord
Jesus we ask that your light would shine on those who have carried
out these evil acts and that Your saving truth would be known to them.
Holy Spirit come in power and show the truth of Jesus to IS
terrorists and those who hold to their ideology.  Show them the falsehood they live under and that such
barbarism towards their fellow men can never be from You, or pleasing to You, Father God.  Thwart the plans of the evil one and the havoc that he is trying to unleash during Ramadan. Hold back the tide of IS and deliver us from
evil Father.  We declare this day our help comes from You and we put our trust in You today as You alone are our Saviour and our Lord.

We thank You Father that a similar attack was thwarted in the UK and no incident took place at the Armed Forces Day parade in Woolwich today, despite IS plotting to carry out a bomb attack.  We thank you Lord that the soldiers, their families and onlookers were protected and spared due to the undercover involvement of the press and the swiftness of the police to act and tighten security. Jesus thank You that You will never leave us or forsake us and we can have hope regardless of what is going on in the world. You have promised us in Your word that we can have peace:Peace
I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I
give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid”.
John 14:27, New King James Version (NKJV)

We stand on Your word and Your promises and we ask all of this in Your name Jesus, confident that You hear and answer us,

Amen.
