Prayer for Roseburg

By Kendra Malczyk

Father in heaven, You see and know all things. You even warned us that perilous times would come. We are blessed that You love us so much to warn us and
to offer help to us in these times. Today, Lord, many need Your great comfort not only in Roseburg, Oregon, but all over the earth. Christians are
being mercilessly murdered everyday, right before our eyes in the media, or in our own home towns. This is so grieving as we observe this evil, Lord.
Our hearts race at the anguish and tragedy, our minds race to understand. But, You told us that if the world hated You, they would hate Your followers
also. And, we know that the devil hates us even more.

So, Lord, send your comfort to the friends and family members of these murdered beloved, Your followers. Help them to know deeply in their hearts that
You are in control and that their loved ones, so tragically taken, are with You, at Your very footstool. Give them reassurance of hope and the promise
of redemption and reconciliation. They will be reunited one day in Your great Kingdom and because of Your great plan! Praise You for this truth.

Please touch those that were wounded and help them to see You through all of this, that they might be converted to Jesus and live. Thank you they are still
alive, another day to receive truth. Help them recover from their injuries and give their families peace in knowing You, Lord. Please send laborers
into this present harvest and reap these students, their families, and friends for Your glorious Kingdom.

We also pray for the students and faculty at Umpqua Community College. Help them to recover emotionally and give them strength to return to their normal
schooling activities in due time. As well as, we pray for the policemen and the whole community of Roseburg to learn of You through this tragic event
so that they might put their trust in You. Also, please help them to find recovery and a sense of normalcy in the aftermath of this horrific shooting.

You are Lord, and all You said comes to pass. You tell us these things before they happen, so that when they do happen, we might believe. We are asking
for souls to be saved and enlightened. Take what the enemy has meant for harm, and create a beautiful blessing of life and rejoicing for these survivors.

We ask all of these things in the MIGHTY name of JESUS, Amen.
