Three formerly used warm coats, a good quality electric sewing machine, fresh new pillow cases, mugs and T-shirts with Bible verses and a variety of Christian books, were gifted to British Asian Christian Association last week. On 13th February at 9pm, a gang of 4 Muslim men entered a games arcade room owned by a Christian man and frequented mainly by Christians. The Muslim men were drunk even though it is illegal for them to drink alcohol in Pakistan when they entered the arcade and began being disruptive. On Monday 31st January the funeral rites of Pastor William Siraj who was shot dead in a terrorist attack (click here), were performed at All Saints Church, Peshawar. Thousands of Christians from around the county attended his funeral. Pastor William was buried in Wazir Baag Graveyard Peshawar. On 27th January 2022, BACA arranged a larger than normal distribution of food packages among Pakistani Christian asylum seekers in Thailand, thanks to generous donations from our supporters. There are several thousand Pak-Christian asylum seekers in Thailand all of whom are treated as illegal immigrants, even though a large percentage have either UNHCR registration as an official asylum seeker or refugee. The problem lies with the Royal Thai Governments refusal to ratify international conventions for asylum seekers.
