“Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.” – Matthew 5:5 On 10th August, the British Asian Christian Association (BACA) visited Grace Church, Raja Jung Kasur, following a heartfelt request from Pastor Rizwan Saqib. Many members of his congregation are elderly brick kiln workers who love the Lord deeply, but struggle to read their Urdu Bibles because of weakened eyesight. Others cannot read at all, yet long to hear the Gospel. Large-print Bibles are more expensive than standard editions, making them unaffordable for these families who already live under financial strain. Audio Bibles would open the Word of…

On 29th January 2025, Nabeel Masih gave what would unknowingly become his final recorded interview. The conversation was conducted by US-based blogger Daniel Richardson for  Lament of Hope, and it captured a rare moment when Nabeel was still in good health. Nabeel’s story is one of extraordinary injustice. In 2016, at just 15 years old—though some early reports mistakenly recorded him as 16—he became the youngest person ever convicted under Pakistan’s notorious blasphemy laws. His “crime” was not something he created or even understood. As an illiterate teenager, Nabeel was tagged in a Facebook post that contained an image considered…

Floodwaters submerged entire villages and towns, causing severe damage to homes — many of which were already vulnerable. Among the affected is 65-year-old Shabir Masih, whose humble mud house collapsed under the relentless downpour between July 20th and July 25th, 2025. Shabir’s house, constructed years ago with reed and wood roofing, held a lifetime of cherished memories, including those shared with his late wife, Yasmeen Bibi. On the night of July 24th, as the rain poured heavily and winds howled, the roof began leaking. Fearing for…

At the British Asian Christian Association (BACA), we continue to tell the stories of persecuted Christians in Pakistan — stories of deep injustice, resilience, and unyielding faith. We have stood alongside families shattered by the wrongful imprisonment of believers like Zafar Bhatti, mourned the brutal murder of Suleman Masih — a young Christian betrayed and dismembered by a Muslim friend — and provided legal aid and trauma care to many more whose only crime is their Christian identity. Today, we share an urgent and heartbreaking update on Nabeel Masih, a young Christian man whose life is once again hanging by…

In June, we shared the harrowing story of Nabeel Masih, a young Christian man in Pakistan who has already endured unimaginable suffering. At just 16 years old, Nabeel was falsely accused of blasphemy in 2016 and became the youngest person ever charged under Pakistan’s notorious blasphemy laws. He spent over four years in prison under brutal conditions before his release—physically and emotionally scarred, yet determined to rebuild his life. Recently, Nabeel was diagnosed with Hepatitis E, a dangerous virus that severely compromised his liver. After weeks of medication and signs of slight improvement, we were hopeful. However, on 19th July,…
