British Asian Christian Association Helps Daud Masih’s Grieving Family Purchase Essential Food as They Continue Their Fight for Justice
Daud Masih, a 16-year-old Christian boy from Bhikki village, Sheikhupura, was brutally shot dead on 8th April 2026 following an earlier dispute involving the protection of a minor relative.
His grieving parents, already living in poverty, are now struggling financially as they pursue justice through the courts.
The British Asian Christian Association (BACA) recently provided financial assistance to Daud’s family, enabling them to purchase essential groceries and household necessities during this incredibly difficult period. The support has helped ease some of the severe financial strain caused by the ongoing legal proceedings, ensuring the family can meet their most basic daily needs. Before receiving this assistance, the family was struggling so desperately that they did not even have enough money to buy food.
Recognising that the family’s hardship will continue while they seek justice for their son, BACA now plans to provide monthly financial support of £100 for six months to help them meet the cost of food and other necessities.
A Family Crushed by Tragedy
On 30th May, a BACA team revisited Daud Masih’s family to offer encouragement, pray with them, and provide further financial assistance as they continue to cope with the devastating loss of their son (Read more here).
Using the funds provided by BACA, the family purchased enough food and household essentials to sustain them for the month.
Fehmida Bibi expressed heartfelt gratitude for the support:
“I am thankful to BACA for the support they have already provided, and now for helping us buy the groceries we desperately needed. May God continue to use BACA for His glory.”
Daud’s father, Farooq Masih, explained that the family has been struggling to survive financially since the murder of their son.
Working as a daily wage labourer in a local factory, Farooq earns approximately Rs.1,000 (£2.70) per day. However, frequent absences from work while attending court hearings and pursuing the legal case have resulted in a significant loss of income.
Despite the hardship, Farooq remains determined to seek justice for his son.
“We trust in the Lord, and we pray for justice for our son.”
Progress in the Legal Case
According to the family, police investigations into the murder have now been completed and submitted before the court.
Authorities have reportedly recovered the pistol used in the attack, and forensic analysis has confirmed that the weapon was used in the murder of Daud Masih.
Amanat Masih also thanked BACA for standing beside the family during their ordeal:

The Tragic Murder of Daud Masih
Daud Masih was shot dead on 8th April 2026 while returning home from a local market alongside relatives in Bhikki village.
According to eyewitness accounts, a Muslim man identified as Muhammad Junaid suddenly appeared, shouted slogans, drew a pistol, and opened fire. One bullet struck Daud in the chest below his heart, killing him. Two relatives travelling with him narrowly escaped after running for cover.
The attack is believed to have stemmed from a confrontation that occurred approximately two months earlier, when Daud allegedly reprimanded Muhammad Junaid for attempting inappropriate contact with a minor Christian relative.
According to Daud’s mother, Junaid responded with threats and later warned the family:
“Wait and see—you will soon witness what I am going to do to Daud.”
The family never imagined those threats would end in murder.
Supporting the Family’s Fight for Justice
Daud’s death has left his family emotionally shattered and financially vulnerable.
As the eldest son, Daud played an important role within the household, and his loss has deeply affected the entire family and the local Christian community.
BACA first visited the family on 12th April 2026 to offer condolences, pray with the grieving parents, and cover all funeral expenses.
Now, recognising the continuing financial burden caused by the legal proceedings and Farooq’s reduced earnings, BACA plans to provide monthly financial assistance for the next six months, allowing the family to purchase food and other necessities while they continue their pursuit of justice.
The cost of supporting the family is:
- £40 per month
- £240 for six months of support
