BACA Compassionate Outreach: Audio Bibles Bring the Word of God to Christian Community in Berani, Sindh
BACA distributed Audio Bibles in the Sindhi language to members of the Christian community in Berani, Sindh.
For many farm workers who cannot read or write, the Audio Bible provides an opportunity to hear God’s Word in their own language.
The Bibles were distributed through BACA volunteer Evangelist Daniyal to members of Marwari Mukti Daata Church.
For recipients, the gift has brought joy, hope and a new opportunity to listen to Scripture wherever they go.
“The Word of God should never be out of reach simply because someone cannot read. These Audio Bibles are more than a gift—they are a bridge that brings Scripture directly into the hearts and homes of people who have a deep love for the Lord. We are grateful to be able to help this community hear God’s Word in their own language and carry His message with them wherever they go.”

Bringing God’s Word Within Reach
On 3rd October 2026, BACA distributed Audio Bibles in the Sindhi language to members of the Christian community in Berani, Sindh, through BACA volunteer Evangelist Daniyal.
The initiative came after Evangelist Daniyal contacted BACA and explained the needs of members of Marwari Mukti Daata Church.
The Christian community in Berani largely consists of farm workers. Many members of the community are unable to read or write, making access to the written Bible extremely difficult.
Despite these challenges, their love for the Lord remains strong.
For many, Sunday worship and sermons are an important source of spiritual nourishment. The availability of Audio Bibles now gives them an opportunity to hear God’s Word at any time and in a language they understand.

A Request Answered With Compassion
Evangelist Daniyal reached out to a BACA officer after learning that members of the church needed Audio Bibles.
He explained that many members of the Marwari Christian community could not read the Bible for themselves and requested Audio Bibles in Sindhi, their own language.
BACA responded quickly to the request.
Audio Bibles were sent to Berani and distributed among members of Marwari Mukti Daata Church.
For a community where literacy can be a significant barrier to accessing Scripture, the Audio Bible has opened a new door.
The recipients can now listen to God’s Word while working, resting at home or travelling.

“It’s Everything for Me”
For Hajra Bibi, receiving an Audio Bible was a deeply meaningful experience.
She told BACA:
“I am deeply glad to have this audio Bible in my own language. It’s everything for me. I am now able to hear the word of the Lord from it, when I am out for work in the farm.”
For Hajra, the Audio Bible is not simply a resource.
It is something she can carry with her into her everyday life.
As she works in the fields, she can now listen to Scripture in her own language and remain connected to God’s Word.

“The Word of Lord is a Treasure of Blessings”
Another recipient, Pattani Bibi, expressed her joy at receiving the Audio Bible.
She believes that listening to God’s Word will bring blessings into her life.
“I will be blessed by God after I hear His word from this Audio Bible. I pray that knowledge of what he wants of me will draw me closer to Him and make me a better person”
Her words reflect the faith and hope of a community that values God’s Word deeply despite having limited access to written Scripture.

Hearing God’s Word at Any Time
For Martha Bibi, the Audio Bible has changed the way the community can access Scripture.
She told BACA:
“Now, with this Audio Bible, we can hear the word of Lord any time we want. We believe God will bless us through His word.”
The ability to listen at any time means that Scripture no longer has to be limited to Sunday worship or sermons.
The Audio Bible can accompany community members throughout their daily lives.

Evangelist Daniyal Thanks BACA
Evangelist Daniyal, who helped facilitate the distribution, expressed his gratitude to BACA for responding to the community’s need.
He told BACA:
“These Marwari people cannot read and needed audio Bibles to learn the word of God. I am thankful to the BACA for providing Audio Bibles.”
His request began with a simple desire: to help people who could not read access the Bible.
BACA’s response has enabled members of the community to hear Scripture in their own language.

A Small Gift With a Lasting Impact
For communities facing poverty, limited education and barriers to literacy, access to God’s Word can be difficult.
The Audio Bibles distributed in Berani demonstrate how a relatively simple resource can have a profound spiritual impact.
These devices allow people to listen to Scripture independently, wherever they are.
For farm workers such as Hajra Bibi, this means being able to hear God’s Word while working in the fields.
For others, it means being able to listen at home with their families.
And for the wider Christian community in Berani, it means that the inability to read does not have to prevent them from hearing the message of the Bible.
BACA is grateful to have been able to respond to this request and support the spiritual life of the Marwari Christian community in Berani.
“Every person deserves the opportunity to hear the Word of God, regardless of their education or circumstances. Seeing the joy on the faces of these believers reminds us that sometimes a simple act of compassion can open a door to hope, encouragement and faith.”
— Juliet Chowdhry, BACA
Through initiatives like this, BACA continues to support Christian communities in Pakistan—not only through practical assistance, but also by helping believers access the spiritual resources that strengthen and encourage them.
Please pray for the Christian community in Berani, for Evangelist Daniyal and for all those who will listen to God’s Word through these Audio Bibles.
Help Us Bring God’s Word to Those Who Cannot Read
Imagine longing to know God’s Word but being unable to read a single page of the Bible. For many impoverished Christian farm workers in Pakistan, this is a daily reality. Their faith is strong, and their desire to understand Scripture is heartfelt, yet poverty and illiteracy prevent them from accessing the Bible independently.
For just £30, you can change that.
A donation of £30 provides an Audio Bible, allowing someone who cannot read to hear God’s Word in a language they understand. Whether working long hours in the fields, resting at home or gathering with family, they can listen to Scripture, grow in their faith and find encouragement in God’s promises.
For just £5, you can provide a printed Urdu Bible to someone who can read but cannot afford to purchase one.
Your generosity can make a real difference:
- £5 provides one printed Urdu Bible.
- £30 provides one Audio Bible to a believer who may otherwise struggle to access Scripture.
- £60 provides two Audio Bibles, bringing God’s Word into more lives and homes.
- £150 provides five Audio Bibles, helping an entire group of believers hear the message of Christ.
The joy expressed by Hajra Bibi, Pattani Bibi and Martha Bibi reminds us how precious God’s Word is to those who have waited so long to access it.
But many more Christians are still waiting.
BACA wants to reach more impoverished Christian communities across Pakistan, particularly those where illiteracy and poverty make owning or reading a Bible difficult. We cannot do this without the compassion and generosity of our supporters.
Will you sponsor an Audio Bible for £30 today, or give whatever you can to help us reach more believers?
Your gift could mean that a farm worker hears the words of Jesus while labouring in the fields, a mother shares Scripture with her children at home, or an elderly believer listens to the Bible independently for the very first time.
[Please donate here today] and help us place God’s Word within reach of those who long to hear it.
“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” — Romans 10:17 (KJV)
Please give generously, share this appeal with your church, family and friends, and keep Pakistan’s Christian communities in your prayers. Together, we can ensure that poverty and illiteracy do not silence God’s Word in the lives of those who hunger for it.
