Homeless people in Redbridge will have access to Lateral Flow Tests for COVID-19 at our centre on Friday 30th April 2021. This will be the last day of our ‘Meals for the Homeless’ project which was serving up to 45 people 3 days a week. Throughout the first COVID-19 pandemic lockdown we were serving up to 65 people twice a day, with two sets of hot meals in addition to the evening foodbank. Ghafoor Masih (56 yrs) – Brave father of slain Saleem Masih continues to fight for justice despite threats he will be killed. Saleem Masih (22 yrs) was beaten to death for rinsing himself off in the tube well of Muslim land owners in Choonia District, Kasur. After a Christian girl of only six years was beaten and raped after being forcibly taken to the home of a Muslim man in broad daylight in September 2019, BACA stepped in to help- read more (here). We provided a solicitor and began the legal procedure to get justice, however the perpetrator Mr and his cohorts began threatening the Christian parents with violence, the rape of Tabitha Masih (7 yrs) and their other daughters and financial ruin if they proceeded with a legal case against paedophile Muhammad Waqas (18 yrs). Free at last! Nabeel who was 16 when convicted of blasphemy enjoys his new freedom at a secret location. Accused of blasphemy as a teenager, Nabeel Masih (20 yrs), was set free from prison on bail after a 2 year battle by BACA, who took over the case after several Christian charities failed to get any movement. Deaf-mute teenager Komal was kidnapped by five men who gang-raped for 2months, after first being forcibly married to one of her rapists in March 2020 (click here). BACA began to provide a solicitor to press Sandhu Police Station to actually begin an investigation after inital efforts were notably limited. Worse still during the nascent investigation reluctant police reported back to the parents that Komal was in a happy marriage of her own volition. Homeless people in Ilford were treated to a chicken roast dinner, Easter eggs and gifts on Saturday 3rd August. Around 40 local homeless people turned up to receive the hearty meals and seasonal extras.  We also shared a number of Gideon’s bibles with 11 distributed that weekend. Our Meals for the homeless project is now over a year old but due to a decrease in volunteers since the lockdown has lifted we have made a decision to terminate the project.  The number of volunteer hours needed for the project is now simply beyond our capacity and we can no longer…

Nabeel Masih, Pakistan’s youngest ever blasphemy victims who was convicted at only 16 years of age and spent 4 years in prison until released on bail last month (click here), was almost rearrested by Pakistani police, due poor administration by Pakistani Courts.
