Nissar described how he and his family have lived through the awful experience of persecution simply because they chose to quit Islam. Christians from across the UK converged at Bradford Town Centre on Saturday 5th December to show solidarity with Nissar Hussain. A multi-faith peace vigil will be held in Bradford city centre this weekend. The event has been organised by the BPCA and Mohammed Fiaz (Ex-Muslim who converted to Christinaity in his teens) in response to the recent attack on Nissar Hussain, one of many converts to Christianity who has faced great persecution for his choice to quit Islam. Nissar Hussain, his wife Kubra and six children have suffered persecution during the past 20 years after converting from Islam to Christianity. They live in Bradford but have endured severe abuse and violence from local Islamists for ‘apostasy’ [changing religion] following their conversion.
