Another Christian man has been killed whilst in Police custody in an incident that is remarkably similar to previous ones. This victim is the first on record to not have had a blasphemy charge laid against him, he was accused of theft of a battery. Farman Masih a 25 year old Christian man was found dead in a stream on Saturday 18th April 2015, after a bungled police arrest apparently allowed him to plunge to his death whilst trying to escape.  Or so say Pakistani mainstream media. Ayesha Bibi was given the dead body of her son Zubair Rashid Masih (RIP) in a twisted incident of police malpractice. On 4th March 2015 at 7pm a Christian mother, Ms Aysha Bibi, was arrested by police from Harbanspura, near Lahore, for allegedly stealing 35,000 rupees  and gold ornaments weighing close to 100g.  The harassed mother who worked as a domestic servant for her employer Abdul Jabbar and his family, despite many years of loyal service. On Sunday 15th March 2015, Wanstead Baptist Church will learn about the roots of Christianity in Pakistan and the current persecution and discrimination that has left the majority of Pakistani Christians, impoverished, illiterate and vulnerable.  The service which was the idea of Reverend David Morgan, leader of the church who wanted to learn more about the suffering of brothers and sisters in Pakistan.  He called Wilson Chowdhry our chairman, who in true fashion organised a series of must-see services at the church.The morning service is a traditional Christian service focused on persecution.  A talk by Wilson Chowdhry will describe the…

Angelique Pervez a Local Christian women with a Bollywoood Dance school led a Bollywood performance at our Christmas Festival. Redbridge Easter Parade and Festival celebrates its 3rd Anniversary this year!  Although not normally a well celebrated in our usual spirit of enthusiasm we remind our readers that Jesus rose on the 3rd day, so for us at least this anniversary has significant value. Young children of all shapes and sizes are developing their gymnastics and dance skills, whilst losing weight and improving their overall health. “Lean and Keen” project led by the British Pakistani Christian Association provides opportunity for fun physical exercise to the deprived children of Loxford and Clementswood ward, Ilford.  Current classes for street dance led by Pioneer Dance are held every Friday at Clementswood Community Centre from 5pm, and Gymnastics classes led by local Gym instructor Stephanie Thomas are held on Fridays at Uphall School.  The courses are free and are being funded through London Catalyst and London Community Foundation,…

British Pakistani Christian Association is calling on churches across Redbridge to join us for a celebration of the resurrection of Christ on Easter Monday 6th April 2015.
