The mother of a murdered 10 year old who we supported for two years died of grief from being coerced into a compromise agreement for her murdered son. We had a very successful evening during our first large-scale asylum seeker/refugee and homeless persons giveaway.  Some of the donors of clothes came and joined us at our inaugural event and helped us maintain order and organise the queues.  They also helped us with providing hand-sanitizer to the hands of every entrant. Nabeel Masih (now 20 yrs) Pakistan’s youngest ever blasphemy victim was released from prison on bail through the work of British Asian Christian Association on 18th of March.  By this time he had already spent more than fours years of his life in Kasur District Jail. The uncovering of 45 bones on 22nd October in Jaranwala, Pakistan confirmed the unspeakable horror of the death of a Christian boy of only 12 years of age. Shahbaz Masih father of Iftikhar Masih (RIP) had been informed of a confession by the murderers made at a community meeting of leaders 0n 20th October.  This led to a call to local police who arrested and interrogated the murders resulting in the the macabre discovery. A 17 year old student in the UK has written a report on the abduction, rape and forced Islamic marriage of Christian girls in Pakistan, as a submission for a Extra Project Qualification (EPQ). The EPQ is a standalone qualification and is often taken by students to in addition to their A level studies.  These are often taken to compliment Universities and College Admission Services (UCAS) applications. Last month we shared a bit of an evaluation of the success of our ‘Meals for the Homeless’ project (click here).  We continue to observe COVID-19 measures which include; no entry without masks (which we can provide) or sanitizing of hands.  We also require visitors to maintain a 1.5m gap while queuing.  Our food is so popular that our regular visitors are arriving at 4.30pm on Saturdays for a 6pm food distribution.
