Redbridge Easter Festival returns this year but on a smaller scale after council officers had already previously booked out Easter Monday to a local commercial market. So for this year we are holding our event on Saturday 31st March from 12pm – 5pm. A Pakistani Catholic named Michael D’Souza, had been brutally assaulted by Muslim thugs in a suburb of Karachi on the 17th of March 2017 whilst going about his work as a tuk tuk driver. The attackers burned his tuk tuk (also known as a motorized rickshaw) which was his only source of livelihood. Our latest school in Thailand opened in February and is developing well say both students and teachers. The school has two paid teachers Miss Tina and Miss Sheroze. moreover there are already 12 students enrolled on courses – a number we expect to increase as news spreads to the new facility. During evenings we have an adult English class and 4 women are already enrolled. This number should increase drastically.
